So today I got an email from my attorney saying that she worked my divorce out so I didn't have to go to court. So as for Friday, November 19,2010, I am a divorced woman! I am so glad I don't have to go to court. Just the thought of having to explain my situation to one more person just makes me want to run and hide! But thanks to my smart attorney I didn't have to! The judge signed my decree and it is a done deal!
From the day that I started this process I wondered how I would feel when it was a done deal. I always thought there would be some sort of physical feeling and mentally I would be depressed. When I read the email from my attorney I do have to admit that I did cry. I think it was the knowledge that I am done. My slate is clean and I don't have to worry about Rudy any more. Also, I have spent the better part of six years thinking that I had a partner and now I don't. It's kind of scary. But once I had my little cry (and I mean it was a few tears and that is it!) I lifted my chin up and I am ready to move on! Mentally, I am so ready for this.
To a new chapter in my life!

So much to be thankful for...
As I sit here and ponder on this season I realize how blessed I am. Even though this has been the most challenging year ever, I can't help but reflect on how blessed my life has been! I'd like to list a few of the things I am thankful for...
- My sweet precious Abigail. She has been what has kept me going this year. She never ceases to amaze me! Heavenly Father has truly blessed me with one of his special angels.
- My Family. Please, don't be jealous, but I have the best family! My mom has been one of my biggest cheerleaders this year. Every time I got down on myself she has been there to remind me to pick myself back up and get going. They have also given me a place to live while every things gets sorted out. Without them, I don't know where I'd be today. Also my two wonderfully amazing sisters! Even though they both have had their share of challenges they are never to busy to take time for me! Also, my brother-in-law! He has been a wonderful blessing. Whenever I need a babysitter or car mechanic he has graciously offered his services without a thought of being paid.
- My Friends. (Please don't feel bad if I don't mention you!) Melissa, you have been such a rock for me! I'm not sure you know what your friendship means to me. Just knowing that I have someone at church that cares about me, helps keep me active! You and your family have been such an inspiration to me. Jenn D., you my friend are an amazing person! Thank you for spending hours listening to me and never once judging me. Thank you for reminding me to keep my chin up! Claudia, thank you so much for always thinking of me and your words of encouragement.
- My job. I am grateful for a fantastic group of coworkers and bosses. Many people right now are out of work and I have a fantastic job with the most understanding co-workers and boss!
As I write this I can't help but feel how blessed I am. My life has been full of challenges but with each of these blessings it has made my life so much easier.
Thank you all for what you mean in my life! You are what makes me... me!

Discovery Center
Fridays at the Discovery Center are free!! Yesterday Abi and her BFF Bailey got together and went exploring. There was soooo much to see and do. They had bubbles to blow, green screens, and pennies to roll. Abi had so much fun she didn't want to leave. The best thing about the Discovery Center is they encourage you to touch everything! It is a kids dream!

Cowboys and Cotton Candy
On Tuesday, August 16th I found out that I won tickets to The Caldwell Night Rodeo. I was so excited!! Nothing is more exciting than a rodeo! So Abi and went and picked up our tickets on Thursday and that night we went to the rodeo. (We also had to buy Abi a pink cowgirl hat.) Abi kept asking why the cowboys were tying up the calves. I told her that the calves were escaping and the cowboys had to stop them. She seemed to accept that theory. When I asked Abi what her favorite part of the rodeo was she said she liked it when the horses kept trying to get the cowboys off their back. My favorite part was the bull riding. There were some great eight second rides.

The Big "D"
Many of you already know this but for those of you that don't, I have filed for divorce. I hope this doesn't come as a shock, but it was something I felt needed to be done. I have spent many nights praying and pondering this huge decision and with the help of an amazing bishop I know it's the right thing to do.
I want to try and answer some questions you all may have... But instead of trying to do that here and bore you all to death; call me, email me, text me or Facebook message me. I am more than willing to talk about it.
It has been a very emotional time for both Abigail and I. I feel like I have been beat up but also feel like I have grown up so much. I have come to realize how many "real" friends I have and I've realized that my life is so much better when I do what I know I should be doing. I feel like I have been through the darkest night but I feel that I have had someone here with me helping me push on.
I am going to try and update this blog as much as possible and keep everyone up to date on what is happening with Abigail and I. I am so excited for the future. I know that Heavenly Father has so many things in store for me and also for Abi. I pray that I will have the faith to follow his promptings. He has never lead me astray.
